Great Doctor, explained everything from first consultation and then ran through the shoulder surgery he had performed on me. Pain free in my arm at long last, highly recommended surgeon.

I was really suffering with major discomfort to my right shoulder. Mr T was brilliant, he explored all ways of helping me.This resulted in me having to have surgery.I was a touch apprehensive about the procedure. I should not of been,I have just had sign off today after I had the operation in January. What an amazing job he has done.My shoulder is so much better....I would recommend him to anyone who is suffering with pains in their shoulder....TOP MAN!!!

Introduction:

After completing Orthopaedic training in the UK, Mr. Talawadekar undertook Fellowship training in shoulder, elbow hand/wrist and sports surgery in the UK and Canada.

He currently works as Orthopaedic Consultant with special interest in Upper Limb Surgery at the University Hospitals of Morcambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. He has been an Orthopaedic Consultant since 2016. Majority of his work involves Shoulder and Elbow surgery with the rest involving Hand and Wrist. He also perform general orthopaedic trauma surgeries.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Tr&Orth) and the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is actively involved in research with multiple National and International presentations and publications in peer reviewed journals and is the Principle investigator for some National Research Projects, at his trust.

He is also a keen trainer and junior doctor educator, and was awarded 'Teacher of the year' award. He is an accredited faculty with the AO foundation, a prime worldwide organisation that deals with trauma care. He is the College Tutor and is responsible for surgical training at the Furness General Hospital.

He is a member of British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS) and British Indian Orthopaedic Society (BIOS). He was awarded Certificate of Excellence from iWantGreatCare, a patient review website, after becoming one of their most highly and consistently recommended clinicians by patients treated under his care.

Prior to coming to the UK, he completed Undergraduate and formal Post graduate training in Trauma and Orthopaedics at University of Pune, India.

Shoulder: Shoulder arthroscopy - subacromial decompression, rotator cuff repair, biceps tenotomy/tenodesis, dislocation instability repair, frozen shoulder release. Total Shoulder replacements - Anatomical and reverse; Shoulder/girdle trauma - Clavicle fracture fixations for acute fractures and non unions, proximal humeral fracture fixations, tight rope fixations for AC joint dislocation Elbow: Arthroscopy - Stiff elbow release, tennis elbow release, Joint clearance for arthritis Arthroplasty - Hemiarthroplasty, radial head replacement. Soft tissue procedures - Ligament reconstruction, tennis elbow release, golfers elbow release, Platelet Rich Plasma and steroid injections, nerve releases, distal biceps tendon rupture repair. Hand and wrist:Trapeziectomy for arthritis at base of thumb, Carpal tunnel release, Trigger finger release, Arthroplasty - small joints of hand, Dupuytrens disease fasciectomy.
